Target Audience

The target audience selected for this assignment are Girls and Guys between the ages 18-24, that are active and attending college.  The Call of Action will be a coupon, and the content that will be used will be a dentist that is pushing new technology to straighten teeth.

I chose 18-25 year old males and females that shop at a hip department store.  I chose adjectives that would describe how you would feel when shopping at Maldives Retail Store.  Women get a higher discount to get them into the store.  They will bring guys with them so I chose the guys to get a smaller discount.  The sneaky part about this Direct mailing piece is the coupon will get cut out but on the other side will be the mailing information.  This is useful so that when they bring in the coupon the store will know who returned the coupon and could get back in touch with them, with out being too invasive.  The photos chosen were from iStock from a winter collection that looked light and fun. The name Maldives is kind of ironic knowing its a winter store and the name is from a large group of islands near India that are absolutely beautiful and probably don't know what snow is.  The plan was to go duotone for price but wasn't cooperating so 4 color it is.  It was a fun project and it will be interesting to see how the variable data process goes.
