Pittstate Rip Rap "RED AND YELLOW"

Created a song a while back so I had something to mix to that gave me a breather from The Wolf and The Wolverine.  I was doing some design work that night as well and thought Eh lets add a little Wiz Khalifa with some design lingo.  Here it is like it or not it is what it is.

Magazine ad to T-shirt Final Project DFP

This is my rough draft for my final project in DFP.  It is a T shirt design for the reality TV show "The Central" I have created for my other class.  The front will have the characters face placed in the middle of the chest.  The back will have the logo/web site and a quote from the show that the character had said.  The target market for the show is 18-25.  The show is based around college students and the complications roommates can bring into a house hold.

These are some of the rough drafts I created for the T-shirt design.

SPECS FOR THE TSHIRT

The file needs to have SOLID PANTONE SPOT COLORS.
File created in ILLUSTRATOR, by creating channels.
The shirt is going to be 2 color
Price of shirts: $4.00
Price of print:10.50

Entertainment weekly

I'm creating a TV poster for Entertainment Weekly.  The specs are out of control.  Reading this at first threw me for a loop but I just ended up sticking with my guts.  Here it is.

They say Black and white full page is 121,005.  I am going to call them asap to get what a full page color will be and place it here when I get it.  Thats a bunch of money!  Granted the viewers are nearly 2 million.

The specs is where it gets a bit hairy.  If you go ahead and do the math the bleed is different from side to side.  Kind of funky.  The live area is super thin and the trim is crazy close to the bleed.  I may be interpreting this wrong but from my fuzzy math thats what I got out of it.

Then you head down the page some more and it tells you this... the ad can now be 11x17? I don't know any magazine that huge...hmmm... they must be sizing these down or something.

All said and done at 1 in the morning this is what came out of my mind.  Its a Web mockumentary that I have created for Multimedia authoring.  This is the poster to advertise the event.  The "Microsoft tag" will take you to the youtube channel to watch the video.  My final project will include random funny quotes and images from the story that stuck out during the making of the mockumentary.  Fun times.  Enjoy

Publication Ad

An ad for a publication is in the works! Im going to choose to do an advertisement for my mocumentary I am creating in my Mulitmedia Authoring class.  The ad is going to be promoting "The Central" a mocumentary about the college life and how roommates react through out the house hold.  The call to action will be the QR code at the bottom that will lead to a teaser of the show allowing you to choose if you want to watch it or not.  The link on youtube will then link them to the real show itself.  Nobody likes pushy ads so I'll allow the choice to watch it after they view the teaser.  The ad will involve all the characters on a street demonstrating their characteristics allowing for character development before you even see the show.  It will be a full raster bleed with photos taken around the city to create the font for "THE CENTRAL". . . Stay tuned to keep updated on the progress!

April 4th 3:12 AM

Yep this is a post to show how I slacked on posting an update at 3 in the morning on April 4th.  Granite you can schedule these things I thought best to be a rebel and be fashionably late.  Plus quite frankly that date and time scares me...So to show I know how to post scheduled blogposts...Check it! 4/8/11 at 1:45 exactly...boom.

Flash 101

So I’m sitting here at my house wondering why I have all this Adobe software… So I sat down and started tinkering with Adobe Flash.  With the combination of Apple’s Logic Pro 9 and some animation I created something not to be completely proud of, but merely a look what I can do in 5 minutes. ha.  Creating the animation and dubbing the audio track behind it, it seemed easier than syncing audio with the animation.  If there are any kinds of tips and tricks you have out there to help make lyric based or visual based music videos let me know.  I always find the hardest ways of doing things first before realizing there is a simple two process step… Enjoy!
